Punjab Brings Relief with Early Salary and Pension Payments
Salary and pension payments for government workers and pensioners will be made earlier than normal this month, according to a Punjab government announcement. The new date for payment release is Friday, October 31, 2025.

The decision was made because November 1 and 2 fall on weekends, which are recognized as holidays by the Punjab Finance Department. The action guarantees pensioners and employees timely and uninterrupted payments.
Section Officer Muhammad Younas issued a notification instructing all District Accounts Officers and the Accountant General of Punjab to complete the payment procedure by October 31.

Copies of the circular have been distributed to the Lahore High Court, senior officials in the offices of the governor and chief minister, and all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and department heads.
