The invoices of 1.5 million Gujranwala Electric Supply Company users and 475,000 Peshawar Electric Supply Company customers have been forgiven. In addition, 265,000 Multan Electric Supply Company customers, 77,000 from Islamabad Electric Supply Company, 48,000 from Lahore, and 165,000 from Faisalabad Electric Supply Company have received relief.

According to Power Division sources, 1,000 Tribal Electric Supply Company customers would not pay their August bills, and a study of impacted Sukkur Electric Supply Company customers is already underway.

Officials stated that the decision was taken to reduce the financial strain on those who experienced significant losses during the recent storms. The relief effort intends to assist impacted households in recovering and stabilizing while repair work in devastated regions proceeds.

The government is anticipated to take more actions to assist flood-affected areas, such as increased subsidies and restoration initiatives.
