Eid Commuters Get Relief with Special Railway Service

Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of five special trains across major cities to facilitate Eidul Azha travel, allowing thousands of passengers to reunite with their families for the holiday.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways confirmed that the special services will run between June 2 and June 4, covering routes from Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar.

The first special train will depart from Karachi Cantt Station to Lahore on June 2 at 1:00pm. On June 3, the second train will travel from Quetta to Peshawar at 10:00am. Later that day, the third train will leave Lahore for Karachi Cantt at 5:00pm.

Two additional trains are scheduled for the evening of June 3 and June 4. The fourth train will depart from Karachi City Station to Rawalpindi at 8:00pm on June 3, while the fifth and final train will head from Karachi Cantt to Lahore on June 4 at 8:00pm.

Pakistan Railways said the move is aimed at easing holiday travel congestion and providing affordable transport to citizens during one of the country’s busiest travel seasons. Advance bookings for these special trains are expected to open soon.
