Australian Woman Welcomes Rare Identical Quadruplets

The birth of identical quadruplets in Australia yesterday is nothing short of a rare and astonishing miracle. According to doctors, the pregnancy was extremely rare. An occurrence that happens only once in every 15 million cases. The birth of these four babies has left medical experts amazed.

The babies were born by cesarean on July 14 at 28 weeks and four days at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Herston Queensland Australia. Although they arrived early, doctors say all four girls are doing very well.

The mother, 34-year-old Jenitar Na’amoana, and her husband, Jortham, already have four children. They were shocked when doctors told them they were expecting four babies from a single fertilised egg. Doctors told them that the pregnancy was extremely high risk because one egg split into four embryos. They had never seen a pregnancy like this before.

Jenitar was admitted to the hospital at 25 weeks so doctors could closely monitor her health and the babies. Medical staff hoped she would reach 28 weeks, and they were delighted when the babies were safely delivered a few days later. The four girls have been named Emily, Harriet, Catherine, and Alexa. One baby was named after Dr. Alexa Bendall, the specialist who cared for the family throughout the pregnancy.

The newborns will remain in the neonatal intensive care unit until they are strong enough to go home. Doctors believe their long-term outlook is very positive.

Meanwhile, the family has launched an online fundraiser to help cover medical costs, daily expenses, and the purchase of a larger van for their growing family. The inspiring story of these identical quadruplets has touched thousands of people and shows how hope, expert medical care, and determination can lead to extraordinary outcomes.
