Anne Hathaway Reveals She Was Half Blind for 10 Years Due to Early Onset Cataract

The Hollywood actress Anne Jacqueline Hathaway revealed that she lived with serious vision problems for almost ten years and was “half blind” during that time. She spoke about her condition for the first time during a recent podcast appearance, surprising many people around the world.

Anne Jacqueline Hathaway is an American actress . She was one of the top-paid actresses in the world in 2015. She recently appeared on The New York Times Podcast interview. The interview focused on the movie “Mother Mary” where she plays a pop star role. They also discussed “The Devil Wears Prada 2”. During the conversation, she also revealed her personal experiences, including her vision problem.

Anne Hathaway said she developed an early onset cataract in her left eye between the ages of 30 and 40. The condition slowly affected her eyesight and left her legally blind in one eye for nearly a decade. Cataracts usually affect older people, but they can also appear in younger adults in some cases.

The actress explained that she did not fully realize how serious the problem had become until she finally had surgery. After treatment, she was able to see clearly again and noticed a big difference in her vision.

Anne Hathaway also shared that the eye condition affected more than just her eyesight. She said the problem quietly affected her wellbeing and even put pressure on her nervous system. After recovery, she felt calmer and healthier.

She said that now she feels grateful every day for her eyesight and appreciates being able to see clearly.
