Pakistani security forces shot down four Indian drones on Friday in the Okara suburbs, amid rising border tensions with India. No casualties were reported in the incident.
According to local police, the drones were intercepted and downed in the vicinity of villages 15-4-L and 11-4-L, where the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) crashed into crop fields near residential zones. Security personnel swiftly recovered the debris, confirming successful defensive action.

The event marks the second consecutive day of Pakistani defensive operations, following Thursday’s incident in Narowal, where another Indian drone was brought down with a rocket in village Jasar.
Eyewitnesses in Okara reported spotting the drones around 9:45 AM, shortly before the Pakistani forces engaged and neutralized the aerial threat.
These incursions are part of a wider escalation between Pakistan and India. Just a day earlier, India launched over 20 drone strikes targeting various regions of Pakistan, including areas in the eastern and northern sectors.
While Pakistani forces responded swiftly, several Indian drones managed to hit civilian areas, resulting in the martyrdom of three civilians and injuries to multiple others, including four soldiers.
