Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq:
Pakistan today observed Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq (Day of the Battle of Truth) across the country. Special ceremonies, rallies, and tribute events were held in different cities to honor the bravery of the armed forces and remember the success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos 2025.
Ceremony Held at GHQ Rawalpindi:
A special ceremony was organized at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Participants paid tribute to the martyrs and offered Fateha for those who lost their lives in the defence of the country.
Official Gathering:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the event as chief guest along with President Asif Ali Zardari, Field Marshal Asim Munir, senior military officials, veterans, martyrs’ families, and heads of the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Field Marshal Asim Munir:
Addressing the gathering, Field Marshal Asim Munir said the nation showed complete unity during the difficult days of May 2025.
He stated that Pakistan’s armed forces were never intimidated and responded strongly to every challenge. He described Marka-e-Haq as not only a military conflict but also a battle between truth and falsehood.
Cities Celebrate with Rallies and Fireworks:
Different cities celebrated the day in their own way. In Lahore, patriotic songs, fireworks, decorated floats, and the “Azm-e-Aalishan Concert” created an energetic atmosphere at Liberty Chowk. In Peshawar, people joined a marathon rally from Aman Chowk to Polo Ground, while a large public gathering was held at the cricket stadium.
Why This Day Is Important:
Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq was officially declared by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on May 12, 2025, to remember the successful conclusion of the conflict that lasted from April 22 to May 10, 2025.
So, today is not just about remembering a military victory. It is also about national unity, sacrifice, courage, and the spirit shown by the people of Pakistan during difficult times.
