At least nine people, including a child, were found dead and three others injured when a residential building collapsed in Multan on Monday night. The incident occurred in the Haram Gate area, where the building buried at least 10 people under the rubble and damaged neighboring houses.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene and retrieved seven bodies from the debris, while three injured individuals were pulled out and shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan. The building, which was in a dilapidated condition, had been occupied by tenants despite its poor state.

The collapse of the building, which was reportedly in a state of disrepair, highlights the need for regular inspections and maintenance of residential structures to ensure the safety of occupants. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing potential hazards in aging buildings to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
