Javed Kodu, the veteran television, stage actor, and comedian, passed away on Sunday after battling a prolonged illness. His family confirmed the sad news, stating that Kodu had been receiving treatment at Lahore’s General Hospital for an extended period.

Javed Kodu had a successful career spanning over four decades, featuring in numerous television dramas, films, and stage performances. His most famous roles included appearances in dramas such as Ainak Wala Jinn and Ashiana, which earned him a place in the hearts of fans across Pakistan.

Javed Kodu, in a past interview, had shared his struggles with multiple health issues, including paralysis due to a brain hemorrhage, heart disease, and complications from stomach surgery. He had also openly discussed his financial difficulties, which were exacerbated by inflation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep grief over the passing of the legendary actor, stating that his death had created an irreplaceable void in the media industry. The Prime Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the late artist’s family, offering his sympathy during this difficult time.
