India Education Minister Resigns After Exam Leak Protests

The India Education Minister resignation has become one of the biggest political stories in the country. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that he had resigned after weeks of nationwide protests over examination paper leaks. The decision came after students across India demanded accountability for the controversy that affected millions of young people.

The protests began after serious problems were discovered in a highly competitive medical entrance examination. Authorities found that exam papers had been leaked before the test. As a result, the government cancelled the results and ordered the examination to be held again.

More than 2.2 million students were affected by the decision. Many had spent months or even years preparing for the exam. Having to take the test again caused stress, disappointment, and uncertainty for students and their families.

The protests quickly spread to different parts of the country. Students gathered in large numbers and called for stronger action against corruption in the examination system. Opposition political parties also supported the demonstrations and demanded that the government take responsibility.

In a statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, Dharmendra Pradhan said he had sent his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said he wanted to protect national unity, prevent students from facing further legal problems, and allow them to focus on their education and future careers.

The exam controversy also raised wider concerns about India’s education system, youth unemployment, and the need for greater transparency in public institutions. Many students said they wanted fair examinations and equal opportunities for everyone.

The India Education Minister resignation marks an important moment in the ongoing debate about education reforms in India. Many people now hope the government will strengthen exam security, restore students’ trust, and prevent similar incidents from happening again.
