4.9-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Lahore, No Damage Reported

4.9 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Lahore, No Damage Reported

On June 5, 2026, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake was felt in Lahore and its surrounding areas. No loss of life or property has been reported.

PDMA said that earthquake started in Kashmir. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 18 kilometers below the surface.

Many residents shared their experiences on social media after feeling the sudden shaking. Although the earthquake caused panic, no major damage was reported by local authorities.

Punjab has experienced several earthquakes in recent years. According to earthquake data, around 344 earthquakes were recorded across the province in 2025. Most of these earthquakes were minor and did not cause significant damage.

The experts say that people should stay calm when there is an earthquake and follow the safety rules. The authorities are always watching the earth to make sure everyone is safe.
