Top Cricketers Join Skill Camp in Lahore

A skills development camp for national cricketers began in Lahore on Monday, with top players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan taking part in activities focused on fitness and performance improvement.

Organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the camp is taking place at the LCCA Ground under the guidance of coaches from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The camp will run in three phases, with the first phase featuring 15 players. This stage mainly targets better fielding, sharper batting, and overall physical fitness.

In the opening session, players took part in intense fielding drills, where Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were seen fully involved. Batting sessions followed, supervised by coach Hanif Malik and other NCA staff, focusing on shot selection and improving batting techniques. Gym exercises were also included in the routine to boost strength and conditioning.

The PCB stated that the goal of this camp is to polish individual skills and prepare players for future national and international competitions.

Among the participants in this phase are Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Hassan Nawaz, Moaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Muqeem.

The second and third phases of the camp are set to begin on June 23 and June 30, respectively, with more players expected to join.
