The remaining eight matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 are expected to take place in Rawalpindi, following the formal ceasefire between India and Pakistan, sources informed Geo News on Saturday. The ceasefire has brought a glimmer of hope for the tournament’s resumption, which had been indefinitely suspended due to rising tensions in the region.
Sources within the PSL administration revealed that all six franchises have been instructed to keep their overseas players in Dubai while preparing local players for the upcoming matches. The league’s management is reportedly working on bringing together all the teams in Islamabad, with Rawalpindi emerging as the preferred venue to host the remaining fixtures.
This update follows an earlier decision by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to suspend the PSL 10 indefinitely. The board cited the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who had urged the postponement due to escalating tensions with India, which he described as “reckless aggression” in the region.

The PCB’s announcement came when the tournament was in its final phase, with just eight matches left to play. As of the suspension, Quetta Gladiators were leading the points table with six wins, followed by Karachi Kings and defending champions Islamabad United, both tied at 10 points. Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, and Multan Sultans were also in the mix, though Multan had already been eliminated from playoff contention.
While the future of the PSL 10 hangs in the balance, the potential return of the remaining matches in Rawalpindi offers a renewed sense of optimism for fans and players alike, pending further developments.
