Babar Azam is on the brink of reaching several milestones in ODI cricket as he prepares for the tri-nation series final against New Zealand on 14 February in Karachi.
The right-handed batter is just 10 runs away from becoming the 11th Pakistani to cross 6,000 ODI runs.
Having accumulated 5,990 runs in 125 matches at an impressive average of 55.98, Babar is closing in on an elite group featuring legends such as Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, and Saeed Anwar.
Additionally, Babar is well-placed to equal South Africa’s Hashim Amla as the fastest player to reach 6,000 ODI runs.
