Yasmin Rashid, a prominent member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, has submitted a bail petition in relation to the Jinnah House vandalism case that occurred on May 9. The development was reported by ARY News on Saturday.

According to the details, Yasmin Rashid, who previously served as a minister in Punjab, filed the bail petition at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore. The court has scheduled a hearing for May 30, during which ATC Judge Ijaz Buttar will review the post-arrest bail application.

Yasmin Rashid, the PTI Central Punjab President, was taken into custody under section three of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) following the incident at Jinnah House. She was subsequently sent to jail for a 14-day judicial remand after being booked under various sections, including terrorism.

In a previous hearing, the ATC granted the police a three-day physical remand of Yasmin Rashid in connection with the Jinnah House vandalism case. However, the court deferred the physical remand and allowed her to remain in the hospital. The Medical Superintendent (MS) of Services Hospital was ordered to provide a medical report by May 22.

The court emphasized that the approval of her physical remand would depend on the fitness report of the accused, indicating the need for further medical evaluation before making a decision.

Yasmin Rashid’s bail petition marks a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the Jinnah House attack. As a prominent member of the PTI, her case has garnered attention and will be closely watched as it progresses through the legal system.
