The Punjab School Education Department has announced new school timings for the summer season, which will take effect from April 16, 2024, to October 15, 2024. The new timings aim to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the hot summer months.

According to the latest announcement, schools across Punjab will commence their classes at 7:45 am and conclude at 1:15 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, the classes will end at 11:45 am. The new timings are designed to help students avoid the hottest hours of the day, which can be particularly intense during the summer season.

For schools operating in double-shift, the timings will be from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm, and from 12:45 pm to 5:15 pm. These timings are designed to ensure that students in double-shift schools also benefit from the new timings and can avoid the hottest hours of the day.

The new timings are part of the Punjab School Education Department’s efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the summer season. The department has been closely monitoring weather conditions and has taken proactive steps to adjust school timings accordingly.

In the past, the department has also announced new timings for the winter season, which are effective from October 16 to March 31. During the winter season, schools start at 9:00 am and end at 12:00 pm. The department has been adjusting school timings based on weather conditions and safety concerns for students for many years.

The new timings are expected to be well-received by students, parents, and teachers alike. Students will be able to avoid the hottest hours of the day, and teachers will be able to teach in more comfortable conditions. Parents will also appreciate the department’s efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of their children.

The Punjab School Education Department’s announcement of new school timings for the summer season is a positive step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of students during the hot summer months. The department has been closely monitoring weather conditions and taking proactive steps to adjust school timings accordingly. The new timings are expected to be well-received by students, parents, and teachers alike.
