In a powerful address during a rally in Khanewal, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq emphasized the pivotal role of Pakistan’s youth in shaping the future of the nation. Haq passionately lamented the existing societal system, which he believes unfairly disadvantages the poor while benefiting powerful mafias and dishonest individuals.
Sirajul Haq, who leads JI, a prominent Islamic political party in Pakistan, expressed his party’s unwavering commitment to challenging the dominance of oppressive feudal lords and creating opportunities for ordinary citizens within the democratic process. He underscored the dire need for the common people to have their voices represented in legislative bodies.
During his address, Haq highlighted the extraordinary potential of Pakistan’s youth, describing them as a dynamic and vibrant force within the country. He raised a fundamental question, pondering why Pakistan continues to rely on financial assistance from international institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
In a separate announcement, JI senior leader Hafiz Naeemur Rehman disclosed plans for a rally in solidarity with the Palestinian people, scheduled for October 15 in Karachi. Addressing a press conference, Naeemur Rehman criticized the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) for its silence on the Palestinian issue following the passage of a single condemnation resolution. He urged the Pakistani government to consider sending military assistance to aid the Palestinians during these challenging times.
Furthermore, Sirajul Haq recently expressed strong opposition to any potential delays in Pakistan’s upcoming general elections, asserting that there are no valid reasons for the postponement. During a gathering in Lahore, Haq stated that if the elections were delayed, his party would resort to peaceful protests as a democratic means of voicing their concerns. He criticized political opponents who advocate for election delays, suggesting that their motivations stem from a fear of defeat.
The passionate address by Sirajul Haq reflects the JI’s commitment to bringing about positive change in Pakistan, particularly by empowering the youth and challenging entrenched systems of power. Haq’s determination to ensure that the voices of ordinary citizens are heard in the country’s legislative bodies underscores the party’s dedication to democratic values and social justice.
