Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, has announced a nationwide ban on New Year celebrations in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians. This decision comes in the wake of the shocking situation in Palestine, with the prime minister emphasizing the need for the Pakistani nation to express unity and support for the Palestinian people. The ban on New Year events is a symbolic gesture of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to standing with the Palestinians during these challenging times.

The prime minister urged the public to observe simplicity and humility at the beginning of the New Year, reflecting the deep grief felt by the entire Pakistani nation and the Muslim world over the tragic loss of innocent lives in Gaza and the West Bank. The government of Pakistan has also taken concrete steps to provide relief and support to the Palestinians, including the dispatch of aid packages and ongoing efforts to coordinate with other countries for the timely assistance and evacuation of the affected individuals. The ban on New Year celebrations is a solemn expression of Pakistan’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and its continued advocacy for an end to the violence and injustice they are facing.
