CM Punjab Rahmat Card 2026 Financial Support for Widows and Orphans in Punjab

The CM Punjab Rahmat Card program focuses on supporting widows and orphaned children across Punjab. The aim is to provide financial help in a respectful and fair way so people can live with dignity.

What is the Rahmat Card Program?

The Rahmat Card is a welfare program designed to support deserving families through Zakat funds. It provides direct financial assistance to widows and children who have lost both parents. The government has tried to make the system transparent and easy so that help reaches the right people without delay.

Financial Support Details

Under this program, each eligible widow receives Rs. 100,000 as financial assistance. Similarly, children who have lost both parents (double orphans) are also given Rs. 100,000 each. This support can help families manage basic expenses, education, and daily needs.

Who Can Apply?

The program is specially designed for poor and needy Muslim widows and orphans who qualify for Zakat under Islamic guidelines. However, there are a few important conditions. Applicants should not be government employees or pensioners. They should not own wealth above the Nisab level and must not be receiving regular financial help from other Punjab government schemes. Also, individuals involved in begging are not eligible.

How the Selection Process Works

To make the process fair, the government uses data from the Punjab Socio Economic Registry (PSER). Beneficiaries are selected through a system called Proxy Means Test (PMT), which checks the financial condition of applicants. District Zakat Committees are given funds based on population, ensuring equal distribution across Punjab.

Easy Payment System

One of the best features of the Rahmat Card program is its digital payment method. Money is transferred directly into the beneficiary’s account through JazzCash wallets. This reduces corruption and ensures that the full amount reaches the deserving person.

How to Apply for Rahmat Card

Applying for the program is simple and accessible. People can apply through the official web portal or mobile app of the Zakat & Ushr Department. Applicants can also call the helpline 1077 for guidance. Those who prefer offline help can visit the nearest Zakat office.

Applicants must provide a valid CNIC showing widow status. For orphan children, a B-Form is required. It is important that all documents are updated and correct to avoid delays.

Final Thoughts

The CM Punjab Rahmat Card program is a strong step towards social welfare in Pakistan. It provides financial help and restores hope for many families. With a transparent system and easy process, this initiative shows how support can be delivered in a fair and respectful way.
