Munawar Faruqui Opens Up About Why He Married Mehzabeen Kotwal
Indian comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has finally shared the heartfelt reason behind his recent marriage to makeup artist Mehzabeen Kotwal.
Speaking in a vlog hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan, Munawar discussed his personal life, revealing that the decision to marry Mehzabeen was deeply connected to his role as a father. He denied rumors that the couple met during Bigg Boss, explaining instead that his busy post-show schedule kept him away from his 7-year-old son Mikail, who was staying with Munawar’s sister at the time.

“That's when I realized my son needed me,” said Munawar, adding, “I decided to marry Mehzabeen to give my son and myself a stable family life.”
He also revealed that Mehzabeen is a mother to a 10-year-old daughter, and they quietly tied the knot in May 2024 in a private ceremony.
The couple kept their relationship low-key, but news of their wedding recently surfaced, sparking interest across social media and entertainment circles.
