Controversial religious figure Mufti Abdul Qavi has once again landed in hot water after a video of him blowing kisses to a female reporter during a FaceTime call went viral on social media.

According to reports, the female journalist had contacted Mufti Qavi to schedule an interview. However, instead of responding professionally, Mufti Qavi was seen sending smooches through the phone screen, sparking widespread criticism.

The video triggered a storm online, with social media users denouncing the cleric’s unethical behavior, calling it inappropriate and unbefitting of a religious personality. At the same time, some questioned the reporter’s approach and intentions, further fueling the controversy.

The incident has reignited public debate on professionalism, ethics, and accountability—both in religious circles and among media personnel. Commentators emphasized the need for higher moral standards and stricter conduct from public figures, especially those in influential roles.

This is not the first time Mufti Qavi has found himself under scrutiny. In the past, he has been involved in multiple controversies, including being expelled from Lal Masjid by Maulana Abdul Aziz, who stormed into Jamia Hafsa with a weapon.

As the video continues to circulate, many are demanding action and clarity from relevant authorities and media organizations regarding the boundaries of professional conduct in such interactions.
