Ghani Glass and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) emerged victorious in the fourth round of the President’s Trophy. SNGPL secured their third consecutive win by defeating Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) by eight wickets, while Ghani Glass achieved their second consecutive victory by overcoming the Higher Education Commission (HEC) by 161 runs. These wins have positioned SNGPL and Ghani Glass at the top of the tournament’s standings. In another match, State Bank of Pakistan claimed a nine-wicket victory over Wapda at the State Bank Stadium.

Ghani Glass’s triumph over HEC was significantly influenced by leg-spinner Mohammad Rameez Jr, who took five wickets, conceding only 81 runs in 18 overs. This outstanding performance, supported by pacer Shoaib Akhtar’s 3-60, limited HEC to 317 runs, despite notable contributions from Saad Khan (104) and Adeel Meo (75).

Meanwhile, SNGPL successfully chased a target of 232, with Kamran Ghulam scoring a remarkable 101 not out off 124 balls, including 11 fours and three sixes. Azhar Ali also made a significant contribution with an unbeaten 93 off 156 balls, following his impressive 140 runs in the first innings.

The recent matches in the President’s Trophy have seen SNGPL and Ghani Glass maintain their winning momentum, positioning themselves as strong contenders in the tournament. The outstanding performances of players such as Mohammad Rameez Jr, Kamran Ghulam, and Azhar Ali have been instrumental in their teams’ success.
