Shubman Gill has replaced Babar Azam as the top-ranked batter in the latest ODI Rankings, ending his long reign at the summit.

The right-handed batter, who held the No. 1 position for over two years, slipped to second following a dip in form.

The 30-year-old managed scores of 10, 23, and 29 in his last three ODI innings, raising concerns about his consistency.

In contrast, the outstanding form of the Indian opening batter propelled him to the top spot of the ICC ODI rankings.

He amassed 259 runs, including a century and two half-centuries, during the recent home ODI series against England, averaging an impressive 86.33.

Gill now leads the rankings, with Azam trailing by 23 points. Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, retains third place.

Mohammad Rizwan climbed to 15th after a match-winning century in a tri-nation series against South Africa.

Daryl Mitchell entered the top five, with Glenn Phillips and Devon Conway also advancing to 35th and 41st, respectively.
