Shadab is now the seventh bowler in the world to have taken 100 wickets in men’s T20Is. His achievement adds to the list of other bowlers, including Tim Southee, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, Ish Sodhi, Lasith Malinga, and Mustafizur Rehman. Notably, Pakistan women’s team all-rounder Nida Dar also has 100 wickets in T20I cricket.

Pakistan’s win over Afghanistan helped them avoid a series of whitewash, with the former managing to beat the latter by 66 runs. The Pakistani bowlers performed brilliantly to defend their score of 183 runs, displaying an all-around solid performance in the third and final game of the series.

Shadab’s feat and the victory against Afghanistan underscore the importance of nurturing young talent in cricket. By breaking Afridi’s record and leading Pakistan to victory, Shadab has shown that there is immense potential for new players to excel and help their teams succeed in the future.
