Sahibzada Farhan has made history by posting the highest individual score by a Pakistani batter in T20 cricket.
The 29-year-old achieved this milestone on March 21 during a National T20 Cup match for Peshawar Region against Quetta Region at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Farhan, who opened the batting, scored an explosive 162* off just 72 balls, including 14 fours and 11 sixes.
This incredible innings shattered Kamran Akmal’s eight-year-old record of 150 runs, set in 2017 for Lahore Whites against Islamabad.
Farhan Joins Elite T20 Scoring List
Not only did Farhan surpass a national record, but his score also tied him with Zimbabwe’s Hamilton Masakadza and Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai for the joint third-highest individual T20 score.
The world record for the highest score remains with Chris Gayle, who made 175* in the 2013 IPL.
