Road to Asian Games Begins: 23 Teams Set to Compete in the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version

PUBG MOBILE Esports announced today the participating National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and teams for the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version, with 23 teams taking part to prove their skill and claim their slot in the 20th Asian Games. This marks the second Asian Games with PUBG MOBILE as a participating title, building on the opportunities for fans and players to connect through international competition and pride for their region.

Starting June 19, the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version will kick off the Road to Asian Games, with some of the most competitive PUBG MOBILE Esports gameplay in the region. Competing in the classic Battle Royale format at Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, the 23 teams have been randomly seeded into two groups for the initial Group Stage, taking place across June 19 – 20, with the top six teams of each group advancing to the Qualifiers Finals on June 21. Eight elite teams will then advance from the Qualifiers Finals to Japan to showcase their talent, determination and resilience against worthy contenders at the 2026 Asian Games Esports Events.

Following the Group Stage, the Qualifiers Finals will pit the 12 top teams against each other in six matches, with placements in each match determining points allocated. The top-scoring eight teams will then advance to the 20th Asian Games to join the respective 19th Asian Games Gold, Silver and Bronze medallist teams from China, the Republic of Korea and Chinese Taipei. Japan, as the host nation, will receive the twelfth and final slot for the 2026 Asian Games Esports Events.

The 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version map rotation has also officially been confirmed, with matches one to four taking place on Erangel, while the final two matches will see players compete in Miramar at every stage.

The 23 NOCs participating in the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version are as follows:

The 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version are expected to demonstrate the elite athleticism of PUBG MOBILE Esports teams across Asia, with key contenders such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Iraq and Uzbekistan set to deliver fierce competition as powerhouses within the region. Fans will recognise familiar faces as some of the region’s best players compete, including the recent 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 1 winners 4Thrives Esports, members of Yangon Galacticos, winners of the 2025 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC), as well as the Champions of the returning 2026 PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL), Magna Esports Club. All participants will be bringing their top performances at the highest level of PUBG MOBILE Esports in Asia; fighting to claim the honour of being the top team in the region.
