The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly finalising a shortlist of five players for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, expected to be held next month in Lahore and Faisalabad. The squad includes four seasoned cricketers and one emerging talent, with the final team announcement likely to follow the confirmation of match dates. Bangladesh is expected to arrive in Pakistan on May 21.
According to sources, the players being considered are Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, and young pacer Ali Raza.
Sahibzada Farhan has been the standout performer in PSL Season 10, having scored 841 runs in 12 matches. His average of 84.10 and strike rate of 182.42, along with four centuries, place him at the top of the global T20 run charts this year. Despite his domestic success, Farhan has featured in only nine T20Is, last appearing in 2024.
All-rounder Hussain Talat has also impressed in the PSL with Peshawar Zalmi, scoring 193 runs in six games. Known for his attacking style in the middle order, Talat has represented Pakistan in 18 T20Is but hasn’t played at the international level since 2021.

Faheem Ashraf, another all-rounder, is being considered following steady performances with Quetta Gladiators. He contributed both with the bat and ball, scoring 68 runs and claiming six wickets. His last T20I came in 2023.
Hasan Ali, who leads the PSL 10 wicket tally with 13 dismissals, recently became the highest wicket-taker in the tournament’s history. He last played a T20I earlier this year.
Young fast bowler Ali Raza has turned heads with eight wickets in six PSL matches and is seen as a strong contender for a debut.
The final squad will be revealed once the fixtures are confirmed.
