The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has addressed concerns over the absence of Indian national flag at the National Stadium Karachi.

Footage circulating on social media showed the flags of all participating nations, with the flag of India notably missing.

This triggered speculation suggesting a possible political motive, given the refusal of India to play its matches in Pakistan.

However, the PCB has dismissed such claims, attributing the situation to event regulations set by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

As per ICC guidelines, only four flags will be raised on match days which include, the flag of Pakistan and ICC and the two teams involved in that fixture.

Since India will play its games at a neutral venue outside Pakistan, its flag will not be seen at any stadium in Karachi, Lahore, or Rawalpindi.

The Champions Trophy begins tomorrow with hosts Pakistan facing New Zealand in Karachi. India is placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
