PCB Chairman’s Address to Pakistan Cricket Team

In a recent meeting at a local hotel in Islamabad, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, along with other officials including COO PCB Salman Naseer and Chief Selector Wahab Riaz, met with the Pakistan players participating in HBL PSL 9. The Chairman commended the players for their performances in national colors and emphasized the collective mission of unity and winning.

He highlighted the board’s commitment to merit-based work ethic, ensuring high performers and quality players receive ample opportunities to showcase their skills. Naqvi encouraged the players to embody a fighting spirit in their gameplay, emphasizing fan support when they display resilience on the field. The PCB is also planning upgrades for major cricket venues in the country.

Regarding the team’s preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Chairman Naqvi outlined a rigorous schedule including a home series against New Zealand, followed by an away series against Ireland and England before heading to the USA for the mega event. The board has organized a strength and conditioning camp to prepare the team for this challenging international season.
