The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Bangladesh will tour Pakistan later this month for a three-match T20 International series. The announcement came after successful discussions between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Farooq Ahmed during a meeting in Dubai.

According to a statement released by the PCB on Tuesday, all matches will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Although the original proposal included five T20Is, the number of matches was reduced to three by mutual agreement. The tour, now expected to be held between May 27 and June 5, will be played within a tight window in the international cricket calendar.

Exact match dates are yet to be finalised but are likely to be announced soon.

The development puts to rest weeks of uncertainty surrounding the tour, which had faced delays due to security and logistical concerns. Officials from both boards have now agreed to move forward after extended dialogue and coordination.

This marks Bangladesh’s first bilateral visit to Pakistan since 2020, when they played T20Is in Lahore and later returned for a Test in Rawalpindi. That tour was cut short as the COVID-19 pandemic forced the postponement of one Test and an ODI.

Initial approval from Dhaka had been pending, but the outcome of the Dubai meeting suggests that all necessary clearances are now in place. The tour is seen as a positive step for both boards in strengthening regional cricket ties.
