The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the panel of match officials for the upcoming much awaited ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The showpiece event scheduled to be held in Pakistan and the matches featuring India in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 19 to March 9.
A total of 12 umpires will officiate in the tournament, which features eight teams competing across four venues-Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
Among these experienced match officials is Richard Kettleborough, who previously officiated the final of the 2017 edition.
Experienced umpires such as Chris Gaffaney, Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel, and Rod Tucker will also be part of the officiating team.
They will be joined by Michael Gough, Adrian Holdstock, Ahsan Raza, Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, Alex Wharf, and Joel Wilson, all of them officiated in World Cup 2023.
The match referees’ panel includes David Boon, Ranjan Madugalle, and Andrew Pycroft, bringing vast experience to the tournament.
Meanwhile, the marquee tournament will have no Indian officials with two of the likeliest candidates having excused themselves from travelling to Pakistan.
