New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced a 15-member squad for the five-match T20I series against Pakistan, set to take place from March 16 to 26.
Michael Bracewell will captain the team, marking his return after missing the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 due to injury.
Bracewell acknowledged Mitchell Santner’s leadership and emphasized maintaining a positive team environment.
Pakistan, he noted, remains a formidable side in T20 cricket, known for its power-hitting and pace attack.
The visitors will be aiming for redemption following their early exit from the Champions Trophy.
The squad sees the return of senior spinner Ish Sodhi and pacer Ben Sears, who was sidelined due to a torn hamstring.
Pacers Kyle Jamieson and Will O’Rourke will feature in the first three matches, while Matt Henry, the leading wicket-taker in the Champions Trophy, joins for the last two games.
The selection aims to manage the workload of the pacers following their recent tournament commitments.
