Liverpool secured the Premier League title for the 2024/25 season with a resounding 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds were given an early scare when former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke put Tottenham ahead in the 12th minute. However, the home side responded quickly, with Luis Diaz equalising just four minutes later. Goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo followed soon after, giving Liverpool a comfortable 3-1 lead by half-time.
Arne Slot’s team continued to control the match in the second half. Mohamed Salah, ending his six-game goal drought, added a fourth with a composed low shot midway through the half. Tottenham’s difficulties worsened when Destiny Udogie accidentally scored an own goal, sealing the convincing result for Liverpool.
