The buzz around Hera Pheri 3 continues to grow, and fans may not have to wait much longer for a glimpse of the film. Actor Suniel Shetty has confirmed that the official teaser is expected to be released during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
In an interview promoting his upcoming historical drama Kesari Veer, Shetty revealed that the team recently shot the teaser for Hera Pheri 3, and it would likely be launched during the IPL. He added that while the film brings a new storyline, the original trio—Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and himself—remain the core of the franchise, keeping its trademark humour and energy alive.
The actor described the atmosphere on set as lively and full of laughter, noting that their off-screen bond often leads to uncontrollable fun. He jokingly said that when the three of them reunite, it’s difficult for the crew to maintain order on set due to their energetic antics.

Director Priyadarshan, who helmed the original Hera Pheri in 2000, returns for the third installment. According to Shetty, the team now feels more like family, and that familiarity has helped retain the spirit of the original films.
Although the teaser has been filmed, full production on Hera Pheri 3 won’t begin until 2026. This delay is due to Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar currently being tied up with Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy they intend to complete before shifting focus to the comedy sequel.
With the teaser release tied to IPL, the makers are clearly hoping to tap into the cricket frenzy and reach a wider audience eager for the return of one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises.
