The much-important Australia-South Africa Champions Trophy match was washed out, with both teams sharing a point.

With India and New Zealand through, the Group B semi-final race remains open with all four teams in contention.

South Africa tops the table with three points and a +2.140 net run rate, with Australia second on equal points.

England and Afghanistan have yet to score but remain in contention. Here are the qualification scenarios.

  • South Africa: A win against England guarantees a semi-final spot. A loss would still keep them in contention if England loses at least one of their remaining games.
  • Australia: A victory over Afghanistan secures qualification. A loss means they must rely on South Africa beating England.
  • England: Needs to win both remaining matches to advance. A loss against Afghanistan would eliminate them.
  • Afghanistan: Must defeat both Australia and South Africa to qualify.
