Germany extended their lead in the Friendship Cup 2025 after defeating Pakistan 2-1 in the second match of the four-game junior hockey series in Lahore.

With this victory, the visitors now hold a commanding 2-0 advantage.

In the opening match at the Manzoor-ul-Hassan Senior Hockey Stadium, Germany had secured a hard-fought 4-3 win, setting the tone for the series.

Despite facing a highly decorated German squad, Pakistan put up a determined fight, keeping the contest competitive.

However, missed chances in crucial moments proved costly for the Green Shirts, as they struggled to capitalize on goal-scoring opportunities.

The hosts will now look to regroup before their third encounter against Germany, scheduled for March 11 in Lahore.

The final showdown of the series will take place on March 13 in Islamabad, where Pakistan will have one last chance to bounce back.

With Germany in firm control of the series, Pakistan faces a challenging task in overturning the deficit.

The upcoming matches will determine whether the hosts can stage a comeback or if Germany will maintain their dominance in the Friendship Cup 2025.
