David Miller has criticized the International Cricket Council (ICC) for its travel and scheduling decisions following his team’s semi-final loss to New Zealand in the Champions Trophy.

The middle-order batter expressed his frustration, suggesting that the travel arrangements negatively affected South Africa’s performance.

After completing their group-stage matches, both South Africa and Australia were forced to travel to Dubai.

Following India’s victory over New Zealand, South Africa had to return to Pakistan for their semi-final against New Zealand, while Australia remained in Dubai for their clash with India.

Miller described the travel schedule as far from ideal, noting that while the flight was short, the lack of rest and recovery time hurt the team’s readiness.

Miller, who had been South Africa’s standout performer with a blistering 67-ball century, became the fastest player to score a ton in Champions Trophy history.

Despite his heroics, South Africa lost by 50 runs, with New Zealand advancing to face India in the final on March 9 at Dubai International Stadium.
