Ahmed Shehzad has criticized white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, following the early exit from the Champions Trophy 2025.

The Green Shirts were eliminated after consecutive defeats to New Zealand and India in the group stage.

In a discussion on his YouTube channel with sports journalist Vikrant Gupta and pacer Mohammad Amir, Shehzad analyzed Pakistan’s performance.

When Gupta referenced Rizwan’s popular phrase, “Ya to win hai, ya to learn hai” (It’s either a win or a lesson), Shehzad sarcastically remarked that the team had been doing plenty of learning but not winning.

Following Pakistan’s final group-stage match against Bangladesh, which was abandoned due to rain, Rizwan addressed the team’s struggles in the post-match presentation.

Acknowledging their recent poor performances, including setbacks in the home tri-nation ODI series, he admitted they had failed to meet expectations.

Rizwan emphasized the importance of learning from mistakes and expressed hope for improvement in the upcoming New Zealand tour.

He also highlighted the need for professionalism and game awareness to compete with top teams.

Accepting responsibility for the disappointing campaign, he assured fans that the team would work towards better results in future tournaments.
