The Punjab Job Portal, developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), has attracted over 1.8 million applications for job openings from 168 registered government departments since its launch. The platform has also seen more than 447,000 users create profiles and over 11,000 job advertisements posted online.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf highlighted the portal’s role in modernising the job search process for government positions. He noted that the platform has significantly reduced the need for applicants to physically visit multiple government offices, offering a more streamlined experience.

According to officials, the portal enables candidates to explore vacancies suited to their qualifications and skills through user-friendly filters. In addition to listings, the platform also provides key details such as contact information for relevant departments and application instructions.

By offering a centralised online system, the Punjab Job Portal is seen as a step towards greater transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in government recruitment. It not only simplifies the application process but also helps ensure that job opportunities are more widely accessible across Punjab.
