Iran launched its fifth wave of retaliatory missile strikes on Israel early Saturday morning, resulting in at least four fatalities and over 90 injuries, according to local and international reports. The latest assault marks a significant escalation in the ongoing hostilities between the two nations.

Iranian authorities confirmed that this latest operation is part of its ongoing response campaign dubbed True Promise 3, which follows sustained Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory in recent days.

Simultaneously, Iranian state media announced the deaths of two senior military officials in the recent Israeli attacks:

  • General Gholamreza Mehrabi, Deputy Head of Intelligence at the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff

  • General Mehdi Rabbani, Deputy Head of Operations

Both were described as having been “martyred” in targeted Israeli bombings on strategic Iranian installations.

The missile barrage, which included both ballistic and hypersonic missiles, struck multiple Israeli cities, with Tel Aviv and Haifa reportedly facing the brunt of the attack. Loud explosions were heard across northern regions, prompting Israeli authorities to activate emergency sirens and urge citizens to seek shelter.

Iran’s Mehr News Agency, citing Israeli media sources, claimed that a 50-storey building in Tel Aviv was heavily damaged in the assault. Several missiles and drones reportedly bypassed Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system, hitting key infrastructure.

An Iranian military spokesperson stated that “no part of Israel will be safe” as further retaliatory phases unfold.

The situation continues to escalate, with the international community expressing concern over the growing regional instability. Israel has yet to formally confirm the extent of the damage or casualties but has maintained high alert across its military units.
