The United Arab Emirates has revised its visa requirements by making it mandatory for applicants to submit the outer cover page of their passport.
The new condition was reported by Khaleej Times and confirmed by Amer centers, which process visa and residency services across the country for international travelers.
According to an official notice, the outer cover page must now be attached with all entry permit applications, effective immediately across UAE immigration platforms.
The updated list of mandatory documents includes a valid passport copy, a clear passport-size photograph, confirmed hotel booking, return air ticket, and the external passport cover.
Authorities have not explained the specific reason behind this requirement, but it signals a tightening of documentation rules for visitors applying for UAE entry permits.

Earlier this week, the United Arab Emirates has reportedly suspended tourist and work visa applications for citizens of nine African and Asian countries until further notice.
The restriction applies for Uganda, Sudan, Somalia, Cameroon, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Bangladesh, according to an immigration circular cited in media reports.
UAE authorities have not provided an official explanation, though reports suggest the move may be linked to security concerns or rising diplomatic tensions with affected states.
Similar measures have been implemented in the past, including temporary visa bans on Nigerian applicants, with official confirmations and explanations often remaining limited.
