Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Gears Up for Ramadan Moon Sighting

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s official moon sighting body, is scheduled to convene on Monday, March 11th, in Peshawar to ascertain the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. Chaired by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, the committee will evaluate information and witness testimonies to determine if the crescent moon signaling the start of Ramadan has been sighted.

In a statement, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad highlighted the importance of conducting moon-sighting activities across Pakistan during Ramadan and encouraged all citizens to participate in the sighting on the designated evening. The meeting’s objective is to facilitate the observation and announcement of the Ramadan moon sighting accurately, ensuring that Muslims nationwide can commence the blessed month appropriately.
