Strong financial and military support for the Gaza Strip was announced during the Gaza Board of Peace meeting. Several regional countries promised large amounts of aid to help rebuild the area and support long-term stability.
The biggest financial pledge came from United Arab Emirates. Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the UAE will provide $1.2 billion to support reconstruction efforts. He stressed that lasting peace in the Middle East is very important for the entire region. He added that rebuilding Gaza is necessary for stability and future development.
Saudi Arabia also announced major support. Minister of State Adel al-Jubeir said the Kingdom will provide $1 billion in aid. He told the meeting that Saudi Arabia stands for peace and justice. According to him, real peace in the Middle East can only come through a fair solution to the conflict. He also said Saudi Arabia remains committed to development and prosperity in the region.
Qatar pledged $1 billion as well. Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said Qatar will continue to support peace efforts in Gaza. He expressed hope that international cooperation would help move quickly toward a peace agreement.
Meanwhile, Turkiye announced a different kind of support. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Turkiye is ready to deploy troops to Gaza as part of a coordinated international stabilization mission. He said joint global efforts are needed to help restore order and security in the territory.
In addition, Indonesia offered military assistance. The Indonesian President announced that the country is prepared to send 8,000 or more troops for a Gaza stabilization force if required.
The meeting showed strong regional commitment to Gaza’s recovery. Leaders agreed that humanitarian aid, reconstruction, and security support are all important for rebuilding lives and infrastructure.
With billions of dollars pledged and international cooperation promised, the focus now turns to turning these commitments into real action on the ground to help the people of Gaza.
