Pakistan, Seven Other Countries Join Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’

Pakistan and seven other Muslim countries have announced their decision to join US President Donald Trump’s proposed initiative known as the “Board of Peace.” The announcement was made through a joint statement released by the foreign ministers of the participating countries.

The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar welcomed the invitation extended by President Trump to their national leaders. The ministers confirmed that their countries have agreed to become part of the Board of Peace.

Each country will complete the joining process according to its own legal and official procedures. Pakistan, Egypt, and the UAE have already publicly announced their decision to join the board. The UAE shared its decision earlier this week, while Pakistan and Egypt made separate announcements.

The ministers recalled that all eight countries had worked closely with President Trump in October last year on a plan aimed at ending Israel’s war and military actions in Gaza. That earlier cooperation laid the groundwork for the current peace initiative.

In the joint statement, the foreign ministers expressed strong support for the peace efforts led by President Trump. They reaffirmed their commitment to helping implement the mission of the Board of Peace, which is planned as a transitional administration.

The statement added that the initiative is part of a broader Comprehensive Plan to end the Gaza conflict. This plan has also been endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 and focuses on achieving and maintaining a permanent ceasefire.

The participating countries said they believe cooperation and dialogue are essential for long-term peace. They emphasized that joint international efforts are needed to bring stability to the region and reduce human suffering.
