The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has rejected Israel’s “Greater Israel” plan and asked the United Nations to take strong action. At a meeting in Jeddah, foreign ministers from 31 Muslim countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, approved a resolution condemning Israel’s attacks in Gaza and calling them a violation of international law.

The OIC said Israel must be held accountable for war crimes, including attacks on journalists, and urged the International Court of Justice to take action. The resolution also demanded an immediate ceasefire, the release of prisoners, and free access for humanitarian aid.

It suggested that Jewish settlers involved in violence should be declared terrorists and face global sanctions.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said Israel’s attacks were “collective punishment” of Palestinians and warned that plans to occupy Gaza City aimed to erase Palestinian identity. He urged the UN to send protection forces if the violence continues and stressed the need to stop illegal settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Other leaders also supported Palestine. Turkey’s foreign minister said pressure was needed to stop Israel’s occupation, while Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister repeated calls for an independent Palestinian state.
