A passenger aircraft believed to be carrying around 130 people reportedly crashed on Wednesday at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, raising serious concerns over potential casualties.
The incident occurred when the plane struck the airport’s perimeter wall, resulting in a fire and thick smoke rising from the crash site.

Initial reports suggest that approximately 133 individuals may have been on board at the time of the crash. However, authorities have yet to confirm the number of injuries or fatalities.
Emergency teams, including rescue and firefighting units, were swiftly deployed to the scene and are continuing their efforts to control the situation.
Footage from the area shows dense smoke billowing into the air shortly after the crash, which occurred within the premises of the Adani Group–managed airport.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), along with airport officials, has begun investigating the cause of the incident.
Flight operations in the affected section of the airport have been temporarily halted. Passengers and airport visitors have been urged to stay updated through official channels and to cooperate with ongoing emergency and security procedures.
