Quetta Gladiators delivered a powerful statement in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 by thrashing Islamabad United with a 109-run win in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, marking one of the most dominant performances of the season.
After being sent in to bat, the Gladiators rewrote PSL history by posting a record-breaking 263 for 3 — the highest-ever total in the tournament. Rilee Rossouw and Hasan Nawaz were central to the fireworks, both bringing up rapid centuries and setting a new benchmark for the league.
Rossouw smashed 104 runs from just 46 balls, peppering the field with 20 boundaries, including six maximums. Nawaz, unbeaten on 100 from 45 deliveries, struck four fours and nine sixes to help Quetta pile on the runs.

Faced with a daunting target, United’s batting lineup faltered, managing only 154 in 19.3 overs. Imad Wasim was the lone resistance with 56 off 41 balls, but his efforts weren’t enough to prevent a fourth straight defeat for the home side.
Quetta’s bowlers backed up the batters with an all-round effort. Mohammad Amir led the way, taking three wickets for just six runs. Wasim Jr and Abrar Ahmed grabbed two each, while three others claimed one scalp apiece.
With this comprehensive win, Quetta moved further ahead at the top of the table, securing 13 points from nine matches. United slipped to third, falling behind Karachi Kings due to a weaker Net Run Rate.
