Quetta Gladiators produced a commanding performance to beat Peshawar Zalmi by 64 runs in the 17th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
After being asked to bat first, Quetta posted a strong total of 178 for 7 from their 20 overs. Mark Chapman led the charge with a steady 33 from 26 balls, while captain Saud Shakeel and Kusal Mendis also played important roles by scoring 32 runs each. Finn Allen gave the team a flying start, smashing 31 off just 16 deliveries.
Among Zalmi’s bowlers, Alzarri Joseph impressed by taking three wickets, and young Saim Ayub contributed with two.
In response, Zalmi’s batting faltered under pressure as they were bowled out for 114 in only 15.2 overs. Hussain Talat tried to anchor the innings with a fighting 39 from 34 balls, including four fours and two sixes.

However, he found little support from teammates, with Babar Azam (12), Mohammad Haris (17), and Mitchell Owen (15) the only others to reach double figures.
This win pushed Quetta Gladiators to third place on the points table, surpassing both Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. They now have six points from five games, just behind Lahore Qalandars, who have a slightly better net run rate.
Islamabad United maintained their stronghold at the top, winning all five of their matches. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans continued to struggle at the bottom with only two points from six outings.
