Pakistan Shaheens will take on England Lions in the first T20 match on Friday, 20 February 2026. The match will begin at 3PM at the Stadium Oval in Abu Dhabi. This game marks the start of an eight-match white-ball series between the two sides.
The series will include three T20 matches followed by five 50-over games. The second and third T20 matches are scheduled for 22 and 24 February. After that, both teams will play a five-match one-day series from 27 February to 9 March. All matches will be held at the same venue in Abu Dhabi.
The Shaheens are led by captain Shamyl Hussain. The team recently completed a six-day training camp in Karachi before travelling to Abu Dhabi. They also had practice sessions under head coach Ijaz Ahmed Jnr to prepare for the series.
Captain Shamyl said the squad is well balanced. It includes experienced players as well as young and talented cricketers. He shared that the team’s goal is to play positive and competitive cricket. He also said that clear roles and strong team unity will be important for success.
The series gives young players a good chance to show their skills at the international level. Strong performances here could help them move closer to selection in the senior national team.
Cricket fans in Pakistan can watch the matches live. The Shaheens vs. England Lions series will be broadcast on Ten Sports and live-streamed on Myco. Meanwhile, the senior teams’ Super 8 match can be streamed on Tamasha (free) and tapmad (premium).
With both teams ready and well prepared, fans can expect an exciting and competitive contest in Abu Dhabi.
