The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an exhibition cricket match in Peshawar ahead of the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to the details, the exhibition match is set to take place at the Arbab Niaz Stadium, where renovation work is currently in progress.

Officials in the cricket authority have assured that the iconic stadium will be ready in time for the event.

This initiative follows a similar match held in Quetta last year, part of the efforts of PCB to expand cricket beyond the traditional PSL venues.

Such exhibition matches have previously played a role in promoting the sport in different regions of Pakistan.

Fans in Peshawar will get the chance to watch top players in action, with details about the date and participating cricketers to be revealed later.

Ensuring the stadium meets international standards remains a priority, with the event expected to pave the way for more competitive matches in the city.

It is worth noting that the venue last hosted an international match back in 2006.
